Bits of red underpainting show through.
I am experimenting with more white in my paintings. The sky in person appears more white than on my monitor. Online it shows up a bit more yellow or peach.

This painting features textured trees on a textured background. Did I mention there was a lot of texture?
The "bushes" are made from shotgun paper target remnants. What???
I was at a shooting range with my husband and son-in-law. They were shooting at paper targets with their shotguns. All over the ground were these lovely paper target pieces shot full of holes. YOU CAN'T BUY PAPER LIKE THAT!
They thought I was nuts to be picking that stuff up. Click on the painting to enlarge it to get a good look at the paper.

This series features the organic shapes, outlines and marks made by imbedding a variety stones, rocks and gravel in acrylic media and then removing them. I enjoy the inherent unpredictability of the series.

I created this a couple of years ago, but it has been in my own personal collection. I'm rearranging some things and now it's time to release this one to the public. It really is one of my favorites.
It's encaustic on paper mounted on wood panels. The metal is tied on with linen thread and then it's mounted within a painted, wooden cradled board. Soooo much fun to do!
